Slovenia’s Producer Prices Rise by 0.9% in August, Led by Manufacturing and Water Supply

Slovenia’s industrial producer prices rose by 0.9% year-on-year in August 2025, following a 1.1% increase in July, according to the latest release from the Statistical Office.

 

On a monthly basis, the producer price index (PPI) increased by 0.2%, after declining by 0.2% in the previous month. Growth was mainly driven by domestic market dynamics, where prices rose by 1.5% annually and 0.5% monthly.

 

By sector, the highest annual increases were seen in mining (+8.3%) and water supply (+5.4%), while electricity prices continued to decline (-4.0% y/y) despite a notable 2.4% monthly rise. Prices in the manufacturing sector rose by 1.0% year-on-year and 0.1% month-on-month.

 

The overall industrial producer price index remains in modest positive territory, despite a full-year decline of -1.7% in 2024, indicating a return to price stability across core sectors.
